The rules of the game between you and Piano One: your subscription, how the app may be used and what each side commits to. Written to be read, not just accepted.

The essentials in 30 seconds

  • Free trial, no surprises

The store shows the trial end date before you confirm. Cancel before it and you pay nothing.

  • Cancel anytime

Your subscription stops in two taps from your store.

  • For playing, not copying

Lessons and arrangements are for your personal use only.

01Purpose

These terms govern the use of the Piano One app and the piano-one.com website. By using the app, you accept them.

02Personal use

Piano One is for personal, non-commercial use. Your subscription is tied to your App Store or Google Play account: it cannot be shared beyond the family sharing those stores offer, nor resold.

Children under 15 must use Piano One with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

03Subscription and payment

Some lessons are free. Full access requires a Piano One Premium subscription:

  • Free trial

If you are offered a trial, you pay nothing before the end of the stated period.

  • Automatic renewal

The subscription renews at each term unless cancelled at least 24 hours before.

  • Cancellation

From your App Store or Google Play account settings. Access stays active until the end of the paid period.

  • Refunds

They are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to bypass the app’s protections, extract its content, or use it in any way that could harm the service or other users.

05Intellectual property

Piano One grants you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app. The content remains the property of Piano One or its authors.

06Liability

We do everything we can for Piano One to work well, everywhere. Note recognition may still vary with your instrument, your device and the acoustics of the room.

Tune your piano.

A badly out-of-tune piano can throw off note detection. If a result feels unfair, our Help centre explains how to calibrate listening.

07Changes

We may update these terms. If anything important changes, we will let you know in the app at least 30 days in advance.

08Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge before taking any legal action.
